Position OverviewThe Executive Administrative Assistant II provides administrative support to the Dean and Dean's Office staff, including maintaining the Dean's schedule, managing and preparing correspondence and creating and maintaining files and logs.

Reporting to the Dean, the incumbent is responsible for providing administrative support and assistance to the Dean and the Dean's office staff. Specific duties include:
- Coordinating the Dean's schedule
- Preparing and managing correspondence
- Creating and maintaining files for CNMS faculty and staff
- Making travel arrangements
- Ordering and maintaining office supplies
- Serving as purchase card (P-card) and departmental card (D-card) holder, including obtaining approvals and maintaining accurate records, logs and reconciliations
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and six years of secretarial experience, one year of which was providing primary secretarial support to a key administrator.
Excellent organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to understand and interpret policies and procedures, exercise sound judgement, manage multiple assignments under time deadlines and handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and tact are required.
Note: Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

Pay RangePay Range 11 (minimum: $29.48 per hour / maximum: $31.49 per hour) based on the University System of Maryland (USM) Pay Program.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, Memorandum of Understanding, USM Board of Regent policies, internal equity, budget and qualifications and experience. Most salary offers will be close to the minimum part of the range.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
