Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Halethorpe, MD that is seeking an AP Specialist. Duties:
- Process high-volume invoices, perform vendor reconciliations, and execute timely payment runs
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to accounts payable policies and procedures
- Investigate and resolve invoice, payment, and account discrepancies in collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, reporting, and audit requests
- Coordinate with Controllers and Treasury on payment timing, cash management, and intercompany activity
- Maintain AP general ledger accuracy, vendor aging, and complete supporting documentation
- Monitor AP performance metrics, identify trends, and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Prepare and provide AP reports, data, and documentation for internal and external inquiries
- Minimum 3 years of Accounts Payable experience, ideally in a high-volume or centralized AP environment
- Experience with Sage Intacct, Medius, or similar ERP/AP automation systems
- Proven ability to maintain strong internal controls while managing large transaction volumes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, lookup functions, formulas, conditional formatting)
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with process improvement or automation is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
