The Float Pool at Sinai Hospital is a supplemental staffing pool used when unit staffing is insufficient. We currently have openings for full‑time and part‑time positions. RN’s can receive up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus, competitive pay, and differentials. As part of the clinical ladder and committees, the RN provides safe, age‑appropriate patient care and serves as an advisor and resource for patients and families.

Requirements- Telemetry experience required.
- Pediatrics / PICU / NICU experience required.
- At least 2 years of nursing experience.
- RN license in Maryland or a Compact state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Stability within 6 months of hire.
- Chemo/biotherapy provider course within 6 months of hire.
- Preferred:
Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) – Pediatric or Neonatal.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Trauma Certification within 6 months of hire.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification within 6 months of hire.
Float Pool staff will follow a 6‑week schedule and have a weekend obligation of 4 shifts, 3 major holidays, and 2 difficult‑to‑staff days per assignment. All staff are eligible for shift incentives once flex obligations are met.
