, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic
.
The Diesel Technician/Mechanic is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role requires a high level of proficiency in heavy‑duty diesel engine diagnosis and repair, with knowledge of fleet maintenance operations, electrical systems, preventative maintenance, and DOT inspection experience.
Compensation — Competitive hourly pay, paid weekly. $38–$44 per hour, depending on experience.
Shifts — Monday–Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm or 1:00pm to 9:30pm.

- Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on medium to heavy duty vehicles
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
- Inspect and service undercarriage components of vehicles
- Move parts to and from the job site and install/remove parts on vehicles
- Interact with clients via email or phone as necessary
- Perform other duties as required
- At least 5 years’ experience performing vehicle maintenance or an auto/diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
- Commercial Driver’s License class A or B is a plus
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
- Must provide own hand tools and toolbox
- Knowledge of hand-held scan tools and diagnosing vehicles
- Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, email)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing duties
- Exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise
- Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases, or other irritants
- Access to all areas of equipment or vehicles for maintenance
- Ability to move and position heavy objects
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
