Pay Range

Job Summary

Manages procurement activities and processes, including sourcing, purchasing, vendor management, and contract negotiation. Coordinates with various departments to determine procurement needs and specifications. Conducts market research to identify potential suppliers and obtain competitive bids. Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Monitors procurement budgets and tracks expenses. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.

Works to optimize procurement processes and drive cost savings for the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates procurement activities including sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management.
  • Works with internal departments to identify procurement needs and product/service specifications.
  • Solicit bids, evaluate quotes, and assist in negotiating pricing and contract terms with suppliers.
  • Maintains positive supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance.
  • Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
  • Maintains procurement documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Monitors procurement budgets and track spending against allocated funds.
  • Assists in analyzing procurement data and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Supports the continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems.
  • Coordinates with Finance and Accounts Payable to ensure proper reconciliation and payment processing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field required OR HS/GED plus 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience with sourcing, vendor negotiations, and purchase order management.
  • Familiarity with procurement policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Certification such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is a plus.
Job Competencies
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, practices, and sourcing strategies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and internal coordination.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders and contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement requests and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of contract terms, purchasing policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to identify and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Financial awareness related to budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting.
  • Collaborative attitude with a focus on process improvement.
Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand or sit. The employee is required to use hands to produce records and/or documentation in manual or electronic format. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally move or lift up to 10 pounds.
