The Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing tailored marketing strategies across Segway’s retail partners, both online and in-store. This role ensures consistent brand messaging, optimizes product visibility and performance within retailer platforms, and delivers compelling retail experiences that drive brand awareness and sales. The position works cross-functionally with internal teams and external retail partners to align marketing tactics with each retailer’s audience, market position, and customer expectations.
GeneralDuties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute customized marketing strategies for each retail partner to increase brand awareness, optimize sales performance, and enhance the customer experience across online and physical retail environments.
- Ensure marketing tactics align with each retailer’s audience profile, channel strategy, and market positioning.
- Maintain consistent product messaging and positioning across all retail channels, ensuring Segway’s brand reflects the company’s innovative vision and value proposition.
- Ensure all retail-facing content accurately communicates product benefits, differentiation, and brand standards.
- Oversee digital marketing execution within online retailer platforms, including SEO optimization, product descriptions, imagery, alt-text, and keyword usage.
- Optimize product listings to improve discoverability, conversion rates, and overall performance within retailer ecosystems.
- Lead the development of retail marketing materials, including in-store displays, signage, and branded experiences that engage customers and elevate brand presence.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design impactful, customer-centric store experiences that are informative, engaging, and on-brand.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all retail touchpoints and merchandising executions.
- Develop a deep understanding of Segway’s target audiences and adapt marketing strategies to align with the unique customer profiles of different retail partners.
- Tailor messaging, creative assets, and promotional tactics to maximize resonance and effectiveness by channel.
- Plan and execute retail events, product launches, and in-store activations in collaboration with retail partners.
- Create memorable, engaging experiences that highlight Segway’s innovative product features and drive customer interest and sales.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership in support of business objectives and role development.
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Retail Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience in channel marketing or retail marketing.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in channel marketing, retail marketing, or a related discipline, preferably in a eMobility, consumer electronics, or powersports.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing best practices, including SEO, content optimization, and performance tracking within online retail platforms.
- Proven success executing retail marketing campaigns across both e-commerce and brick-and-mortar environments.
- Experience working with major retail partners, including large online marketplaces and national brick-and-mortar retailers.
- Strong project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strategic thinker with a high degree of ownership, execution capability, and a results-oriented approach.
- Experience working in a multinational company within an international team is a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. This role involves extended periods of computer-based work, including content review, performance analysis, and virtual collaboration. The position may require travel to retail partner locations, events, or activations, which can involve standing, walking, and overseeing in-store setups.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support retail launches or events. The employee must often lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
