Sales Associate

Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Sales Associate role based in Arcadia, CA. The Sales Associate will welcome customers, listen to their needs, and provide styling advice that reflects J.Jill’s brand and service standards. Responsibilities include assisting with product selection, fitting room support, and suggesting complementary items to enhance the customer’s wardrobe. The role also involves processing transactions accurately, handling returns and exchanges, and maintaining visual standards by organizing merchandise and keeping the sales floor clean and inviting.

The Sales Associate will support store operations by restocking inventory, participating in pricing and promotional changes, and contributing to sales goals through excellent customer engagement.

• Customer service and retail sales skills, including the ability to build rapport, actively listen, and provide personalized styling suggestions.
• Point-of-sale, cash handling, and basic computer skills to process transactions and returns accurately and efficiently.
• Merchandising and organizational skills to maintain visual standards, restock product, and keep fitting rooms and sales floor well-presented.
• Communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with store leaders and peers in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand, move, and lift light to moderate items for extended periods as required in a retail setting.
• Prior retail or customer-facing experience preferred but not required; a genuine interest in apparel and styling is highly beneficial.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
