Licensed Team Lead creates exceptional value in the lives of customers & patients by delivering outstanding customer service. Ensures customers & patients are always delighted. Assists in store success by managing key optical & lab processes and systems.
Responsibilities- Ensure the Lens Crafters team provides unsurpassed customer service.
- Proactive & solution‑driven with accurate execution and strong product knowledge.
- Assist customers with selections, provide recommendations, and support sales associates.
- Act as the responsible alternate store key holder.
- For those with a current & valid state Opticianry license:
- Provide expertise and product knowledge on lens choices based on patients' vision needs and prescriptions.
- Adjust and/or repair eyewear as needed; present and dispense eyewear.
- Perform accurate digital measurements.
- For Lab responsibilities, if applicable:
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
- Work with associates to strengthen knowledge, skills, & certification for foundational lens and lab technology.
- Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
- Create a safe working environment, demonstrating safe work practices.
- Maintain basic operation, cleaning & ongoing maintenance of lab tools & systems.
- HS diploma/GED.
- Current & valid state Opticianry license.
- Strong optical & retail experience.
- Knowledge of current optical theory & merchandise.
- Excellent communicator & listener.
- Strong inter‑personal skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Sales skills.
- Problem solving ability.
- Familiarity with cash register, computers & calculators.
- Leadership & training experience.
- Edging & mounting experience.
- Basic optics knowledge & optical measurement experience.
- State licensure (if applicable) &/or ABO Certification in non‑licensed states.
- Lens Crafters Final Eyewear Inspector Certification.
- Lens Crafters Quality, Fitting & Adjusting Program.
- Optical machinery & instruments experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Accu Fit Digital Measurement System certification.
- Knowledge of current store merchandise & lens options.
Pay Range: $25.02 – $39.02. Eligible for bonus/commission. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
