Outside Sales, Sales Representative

A Japanese food trading company is currently looking for a bilingual (Japanese/English) Outside Sales Representative.

This company imports unique seafood processing products from Asia and wholesales them to vendors (Japanese, American, and Chinese food trading companies) within the United States. They are currently looking for a bilingual (Japanese/English) Inside or Outside Sales Representative with over 3 years of experience in any industry. Candidates who are also proficient in Chinese or Korean will be given preference.

• Work towards monthly and annual sales targets as designated by the manager
• Visit customers to provide support, information, and sell the company’s products
• Collect payments from customers in a timely manner
• Respond to and communicate with all customers promptly
• Travel and visit out-of-town customers as needed to introduce and sell products
• Educate customers on how the products or services can benefit them
• Perform other duties as required by the manager
• Respond to all management requests as needed

• Fluent level of English required – read/write/speak/listen
• Fluent level of Japanese required – read/write/speak/listen
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Able to occasionally stay overnight for out-of-town client visits
• Availability beyond working hours to respond to emails, calls, texts, etc.
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Adaptable to frequent changes in assignments and workload
• Bachelor's degree required
• 1+ years of sales experience required; 3+ years of sales experience preferred

• Basic mathematical knowledge – markups, discounts, combining/converting measurements, inventory counting, etc.
• Problem-solving skills
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of sushi-related products

Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

1-hour lunch break between 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Base: $60K-$90K + Bonus
