Salary Range: $21.00 To $21.00 Hourly

Classification: Union, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Chief of Security

The armed Security Guard is responsible for maintaining the overall safety of Santa Anita Park.

• Observe and report any medical, criminal, hazardous incidents or suspicious activities or subjects, and take appropriate actions
• Observe and report any potential incidents, liability, or damage to company property and take appropriate actions
• Professionally interact with Santa Anita patrons and employees and be willing to assist on a regular basis – including complaints, directions, or questions
• Assist with escort details as necessary
• Maintain good working conditions in assigned areas and report any safety or maintenance repairs necessary to Plant Department
• Write basic field interviews, reports, and observations including photographs
• Be able to take control of and secure an area during a medical, critical, or hazardous situation and assist in investigations with Area Managers
• Effectively communicate through telephone and radio
• Ensuring that your weapon is well maintained and secure at all times
• Utilizing your weapon in times of extreme attack, when non-violent options have been exhausted
• Attending refresher training in weapons use, if applicable

• High school diploma
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Current Guard Card

• Military training
