• 1+ years of experience as Dual Licensed (Water and Wastewater) Operator

The Water/Wastewater Operator operates and maintains water treatment facilities at one or more plants, processing and testing equipment to purify water to meet permit and operational requirements. The Operator troubleshoots and diagnoses operational problems and takes corrective action per procedure and process knowledge. S/he monitors flow meters, gauges, flow ratios, pressures and related controls through instrument panels and programmable logic control units in the assigned area, monitors and records operating conditions, observations and data in the shift log, ensures conformance to process specifications, verifies and reports suspected malfunctions and variances to a supervisor, performs routine and preventative maintenance, performs field laboratory tests (chemical and physical) to pace chemical dosages for efficient process control, and ensures that all safety and environmental requirements are consistently achieved including strict compliance.
