• $33.83 - $41.00 per hour, paid weekly

• 1st Shift Monday-Friday 7 AM - 3 PM
• 2nd Shift Monday-Friday 3 PM - 11 PM (.25/hr shift differential)

The Maintenance Technician at Pactiv Evergreen Plant City is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and facility equipment. The Maintenance Technician must have excellent mechanical and electrical skills and be able to troubleshoot PLC-controlled printing and packaging equipment utilizing a laptop computer. A minimum of three to five years of experience is needed in the maintenance field, with manufacturing experience preferred.

The Maintenance Technician is a team player with good communication skills and able to interact with all areas of the facility in a team environment, and is committed to excellence.

• Answer calls and repair broken equipment.
• Complete Work Orders.
• Perform PM on sealers, presses, and plant equipment.
• Order/receive/rebuild/repair/inventory parts.
• Manage project to reduce downtime, waste, and costs.
• Interact with vendors and contractors.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Report any unsafe conditions that are encountered.
• Report any injury or near miss to the Team Leader immediately.
• Do not perform a duty that appears to be unsafe without consulting a Team Leader.
• Recognize hazards of the job and learn how to avoid them.
• Follow BJAs and SOPs.
• Observe all Safety Rules.
• Wear safety equipment and protective devices as required: steel‑toe shoes, hearing protection, cut gloves, harness, etc.
• Keep work area clean and uncluttered.
• Conduct safe behavior observation on a weekly basis; four a month are required.

• Adhere to the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) policy.
• Every Pactiv Evergreen team member has a responsibility for ensuring the products we produce are safe and of good quality.
• Personally act with behaviors consistent with achieving and maintaining Safe Quality Foods certification.
• Behavior in the facility and on equipment shall not compromise the food safety goals.
• Follow responsibilities for this job description on make ready, start up, or changeover/line clearance procedure.
• Do not run an unsafe product.
• Support the goal of producing a food‑safe product by following all programs, policies, SOPs, and GMPs.
• Report and/or fix the problem that creates a Food Safety Hazard.
• Place suspect product on precautionary hold.

• Be able to accurately observe, analyze, and assess detailed troubleshooting needs on machinery and various equipment.
• Communicate and exchange information.
• Operate equipment, including desktop computers and handheld devices, handle and prepare material, firmly grasp tools and machinery.
• Normally work an 8‑hour shift but may work 12 hours as needed; working 12‑hour shifts 2‑3 times per week.
• Standing up to 6 hours per 8‑hour shift daily.
• Lifting 45‑50 lbs. frequently 0‑5 times per day.
• Turning while carrying 50 lbs. 0‑1 times per week.
• Heavy exertion in awkward postures while performing maintenance 0‑5 times per day.
• Lifts from floor to waist, knees to waist, waist to shoulder 0‑5 times per day.
• Working inside confined, physically small areas 0‑1 times per day.
• Kneeling on a hard concrete surface daily.
• Pushing a load 0‑2 times per day.
• Squatting, working on equipment daily.
• Climbing vertical ladders from ground to 25‑foot platform 0‑3 times per day.
• Crouching for 2‑5 min, pulling hand pallet jacks 0‑1 times per week.
• Using hand tools and torque wrenches up to 105 ft/lbs. Hand tools throughout the day. Torque wrenches 0‑1 times per week.
• Team member is required to be able to perform the above tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation.
