Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks to prevent equipment downtime and extend lifespan.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
- Document all repairs and maintenance activities accurately for future reference.
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards and best practices to enhance service quality.
- Manage inventory of tools and parts to ensure availability for timely repairs.
- Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred).
- At least 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Successfully complete a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
- High school diploma or equivalent; postsecondary education in diesel engine repair preferred.
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic) and their components.
- Proficiency in utilizing diagnostic equipment and specialized tools.
- ASE certifications are often preferred or may be required within a certain timeframe.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle tasks involving heavy lifting, working in tight spaces, and using various tools.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and attention to detail skills.
$25 – $28 hourly
