Under immediate supervision, Graduate Assistants (GA) provide non‑teaching assistance to faculty members, including supervising students, training them in equipment use, assisting with research, preparing course materials, evaluating student work, tutoring, and related duties.
Responsibilities- Assist faculty with course preparation and instruction
- Supervise and train students in classroom, lab, or workshop settings
- Participate in student evaluations and grading
- Provide tutoring and support to students as needed
- Current Cal Poly Humboldt graduate student in Biological Sciences or related program
- Knowledge and ability in assigned subject matter, and ability to supervise, assist, and train students
- Evidence of satisfactory academic achievement (initial appointment) and progress toward degree (subsequent appointment)
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree and registration in a CSU graduate degree program
- Exceptions to minimum eligibility may be granted at sole discretion of Cal Poly Humboldt.
- Current Biological Sciences graduate students or students from other College of Natural Resources graduate programs.
