We are seeking an experienced Pre-Operative / Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse for a contract assignment. This role provides care to surgical patients in both the pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery phases.

This position guarantees 40 hours per week. The schedule is Monday through Friday, day shifts, with shared call responsibilities including nights and weekends.

• Conduct pre-operative patient assessments and preparation
• Provide immediate post‑anesthesia recovery care
• Monitor patients for complications and respond appropriately
• Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical teams
• Document patient care accurately in CPSI/Evident EMR
• Participate in shared on-call rotation

• Current and active California Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years of Pre‑Op and/or PACU experience
• Experience in perioperative nursing preferred
• TB clearance completed within 12 months prior to start date

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• No holiday coverage required
• Housing resources may be explored independently (e.g., Furnished Finder, Travel Nurse Housing, local temporary/sublet listings)
• Assignment location is within a 30‑mile radius of Arcata, CA
