Mad River Community Hospital seeks full-time and part-time Charge Registered Nurses for the Emergency Department.

Charge Nurses in Clinical Units are responsible for ensuring appropriate practice standards and professional interactions among staff and patients on a specific unit and provide immediate supervision to the Nursing staff. As leaders they are pivotal in creating a culture of teamwork, excellence, collaboration, and ultimately retention and recruitment. They must understand the theoretical framework of the Nursing process, demonstrating assessment and reassessment ability, problem identification, intervention, evaluation, and initiation of a plan of care.

The Charge Nurse ultimately serves as a role model in patient care, teaching, mentoring, and communicating. Ongoing collaboration with leaders throughout the institution is expected.

• Current California RN license in good standing
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certification
• Patient care experience in an acute hospital
• Compassion and respect for patients
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Maturity and professionalism

Wages are based on prior related experience and employment is contingent upon passing a post‑offer pre‑employment background check and drug screen.
