ER | Registered Nurse | 13-Week Travel RN Contract – Arcata, CA Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Travel Assignment in Arcata, California

Travel nursing opportunity in Arcata, CA for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced emergency department and is ready to deliver exceptional patient care in Northern California.

  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shifts Per Week: 3
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
  • Location: Arcata, California — scenic coastal community on the Northern California North Coast, known for redwood landscapes and ocean views
Job Requirements
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current PALS certification
  • Proof of a negative TB screen within 12 months of the contract start date
  • At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced clinical setting
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients of varying ages and acuity levels
  • Perform timely assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring in the emergency room
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with clinical protocols and emergency care standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, ED staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to support effective patient outcomes
  • Respond quickly and professionally to urgent, emergent, and high-acuity situations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a safe, efficient, and patient-focused care environment
  • Deliver compassionate patient and family communication during stressful moments
