** Lockheed Martin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Associate in Archbald, PA

Job responsibilities include:

 Collaborating in a team environment to develop mechanical design solutions of varying complexity using solid models, detailed drawings, and release of engineering work products

 Reviewing requirements from various sources  stress, dynamics, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc   to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of assigned products

 Collaborating with peers, configuration management, and manufacturing to ensure program requirements and schedules are met

 Contributing to the completion of program achievements by the release of accurate, error free, affordable, and producible engineering designs

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of 3D CAD modeling in PTC CREO, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing  GD&T , good communication skills  both oral and written , and a background in Mechanical Engineering processes  A willingness to travel and ability to obtain a DOD security clearance is required

* Basic Qualifications:

*
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field

 Experience or familiarity with mechanical design, systems, and/or manufacturing  This can include the use/interpretation of engineering design drawings

Experience with one or more engineering CAD tools  PTC Creo, NX, Solid Works, etc   and model based product definition

 Must be a U S  citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance

Skills:

* Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including structures, mechanisms, materials, analysis, mechanical packaging/electromechanical packing, etc

Experience with the creation of 2D production type drawings, drawing revisions, releases, and engineering change notices using Enterprise Product Data Management  EPDM  or Windchill

 Knowledge of industry and military standards and specifications  MIL ST 800  

 Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing  GD&T  and ASME Y14 5

 Knowledge/experience with mechanical analysis  thermal and/or structural , including FEA and CFD

 Good oral, written, and presentation communication skills

** Work Schedules:
** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees   Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed   These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits

** Schedule for this Position:
** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
