Description
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer cable and harness subject matter expert for the Archbald Operations team. Our team is responsible for delivering high‑mix, high‑volume wiring harness, and electro‑assemblies production across multi‑shift facilities.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for driving process stability, improving productivity, and ensuring product quality in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Design, implement, and refine manufacturing processes for wiring harnesses assembly production.
- Lead root‑cause investigations and develop corrective actions to reduce defects and rework.
- Collaborate with operations and quality teams to achieve on‑time delivery and compliance with specifications.
- Evaluate equipment performance and recommend upgrades or automation enhancements where appropriate.
- Document and standardize work instructions, process parameters, and best‑practice guidelines.

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor-level engineering degree (Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related)
- Minimum of 5 years' cable & harness manufacturing engineering experience in highly regulated sectors (such as defense/aerospace, automotive, medical manufacturing)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship
Cable and Harness Subject Matter Expert as evidenced by:
- Leading and coaching of engineers on C&H teams
- New Product Introduction
- Broad C&H technology experience including potting, braiding and assembly tooling
- Experience driving design and process changes for manufacturability via design reviews, IRAD, and capital projects.
- Experience in the full life cycle of C&H including design feedback, process and tooling development, build-to-prints, qualification, ramp-to-rate efforts, and full‑rate production.
- C&H process specification development
- Experience with C&H progressive lines
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
