Electronics Engineering Technician
PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electronics Engineering Technician in Archbald, Pennsylvania for an approximately 14-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will provide hands-on technical support to engineers, including production support, electronic testing, data acquisition, tester development, and preparation of engineering documentation. The technician will work with engineering drawings and electrical schematics while collecting and analyzing technical data to support engineering evaluations.
RequiredSkills
- Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Avionics, or a related discipline.
- 6+ months of military training and/or combined experience in an electronics field.
- 1–2 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- 1–2 years of data acquisition experience.
- 1–2 years of electronic testing experience.
- 1–2 years of experience reading electrical schematics.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations using established engineering formulas.
- Ability to use a computer for technical analysis, documentation, and report development.
- Combination of relevant education and hands-on electronics experience.
- Test fixture maintenance experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical and electronic issues.
- Provide technical support to engineers on production and engineering activities.
- Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical and test data.
- Support laboratory and material testing activities and document engineering design changes.
- Prepare engineering documentation, reports, flowcharts, block diagrams, and schematics.
- Assist with the development, fabrication, and build of engineering testers and test equipment.
- Perform mathematical calculations and preliminary analysis of engineering data using established procedures.
- Evaluate technical data for dimensional consistency and other defined engineering criteria.
- Conduct tests and record data to support engineering evaluations and analysis.
- Support electronic testing, data acquisition, and production troubleshooting activities.
- Day shift, Monday–Thursday.
- 6:00 AM–4:30 PM.
- Full-time schedule.
- $29.23 per hour.
