Summary/Objective
Supervises a crew of skilled laborers in the manufacture (extrusion) of thermoplastic material by performing the following duties:
Essential Functions- Supervise a crew of typically 15 or more employees and prioritizes, manages, and coaches them on their work.
- Ensure effective employee relations such as: providing employee coaching and development, make employment decisions and resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
- Consistent communication with production team and with other departments including operations management, materials, quality, and maintenance.
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
- Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to manager.
- Provide leadership through a 30-day planning cycle.
- Organizes, supervises, leads and trains employees to complete required work within established guidelines and timeframe.
- Coach and mentor employees to best practice and assuring high quality, efficiency, and effective use of the manpower and equipment.
- Track absenteeism, approve PTO, ensure adequate shift coverage and timecard management.
- Reads and follows plans, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines.
- Completes all required paperwork timely and ensures accuracy of all employee’s operational paperwork.
- Organizes, supervises, leads and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and timeframe.
- Enforces all company safety policies and procedures and communicates any lapses or issues to management.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh school education and 3-5 years of related supervisory experience and training.
Language SkillsReading ability—must recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Write and speak clear, cohesive sentences in English. Bi‑lingual English and Spanish highly preferred but not required.
Mathematical SkillsGood math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Perform operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning AbilityAbility and capability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer SkillsSome basic computer knowledge required. Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.

Physical Demands- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body.
- Be able to reach over head.
- Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time.
- Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday.

This is a full‑time night shift position. Hours of work are Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., followed by Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

RequiredEducation and Experience
High School Diploma.
3-5 years of experience in a production environment.
Previous quality management experience.
