Grinder Operator (Material Reprocessing Technician)

Position Summary:

The Grinder Operator (Material Reprocessing Technician) is responsible for operating grinders, saws, and related equipment to reprocess plastic materials for reuse in production. This role ensures efficient material handling, equipment operation, and cleanliness of designated work areas, supporting the overall production process.

• Operate and monitor various grinding equipment.
• Operate scrap saws and grizzly saws to cut plastic material.
• Manage saw shavings and dust, ensuring proper collection and disposal.
• Transfer material between silos, boxes, and bins.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of all assigned areas.
• Perform basic equipment checks and notify maintenance or supervisors of issues.
• Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Support other tasks and duties as assigned to meet production/material goals.

• Prior experience in plastics, reprocessing, or manufacturing environment preferred (will train the right candidate).
• Ability to safely operate grinders, saws, forklifts, and material handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and transfer materials as needed
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.

• Manufacturing/production floor with exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery.
• Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
