You will be the Associate Manager Quality Engineering (Fabrication) for the Quality Assurance team. Our team is responsible for delivering high‑quality electronic assemblies, machined and welded parts, and safety‑critical systems for defense and commercial customers.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Associate Manager Quality Engineering (Fabrication) you will be responsible for leading the Quality Assurance function that supports the Fabrication area (Welding, Machining, Sheet Metal, Paint, etc).
- Supervise direct reports, including career development, performance reviews, and staffing.
- Oversee quality‑engineering work assignments such as quoting, capacity planning, budgeting, and capital planning.
- Lead internal and external IPT meetings, corrective‑action boards, and quality‑metric reviews.
- Implement mistake‑proofing, continuous‑improvement initiatives, and ISO
9001/AS9100 compliance. - Collaborate with other Lockheed Martin sites to harmonize processes and achieve mission success.

Basic Qualifications- STEM degree at the Bachelor’s level or higher, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (e.g., SAP, Apriso, etc.).
- Experience with root cause analysis and evaluations.
- Experience working successfully in a team environment.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Security clearance.
- STEM degree at the Bachelor’s level or higher preferred.
- Experience with quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience leading a group of technical individuals.
- Experience with cable/harness and electro/mechanical assembly standards.
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO
9001 and NQA-1/10
CFR
50 Appendix B and/or auditing experience with these standards. - Experience in Quality, Engineering and/or Production Operations.
- Experience with MRB and dispositioning of nonconformances.
- Experience writing technical reports.
- Experience interfacing and interacting with DCMA and/or other government customers.
- Certified Green Belt or experience with lean manufacturing and failure analysis.
- Certifications or knowledge of fabrication manufacturing and inspection processes.
This position requires a government security clearance, and the applicant must be a US Citizen. Clearance level:
Secret.
This position is located in Archbald, Pennsylvania.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. The work is performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
