Role SummaryThe purpose of this position is to perform daily accounting functions, including general ledger and regulatory filings, financial reporting & analysis, and other responsibilities as required. A high level of initiative, attention to detail, and analytical skills are necessary. The primary focus of this role is daily operations, general ledger reconciliations, and regulatory filings.
Responsibilities- Assist with daily cash management with bank accounts
- Balance cash entries with transactions
- Process voids, reissues, ACH returns, and NOC (Notice of Change on EFT)
- Print checks
- File unclaimed property reports
- Post payments to the Policy Administration System
- Coordinate requirements for the annual audit of the organization’s financial statements
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience; familiarity with the financial services industry is a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a high level of professionalism
- Self‑starter with strong teamwork skills and an innate sense of urgency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn proprietary software
- Technical Learning: Quick to learn new technical skills, domain knowledge, and industry practices
