Do Real Tax Work and Grow Toward Running Your Own Book
Expected total compensation: $80,000 to $110,000+
You get a competitive salary and the room to grow fast. This is a hands-on role where you'll do real tax work for individuals, families, and closely held businesses, not just fill in data entry.
At Track, a senior associate role is a clear step toward becoming an advisor with your own book of clients. As you grow into that, the comp model grows with you: our advisors earn performance-based pay tied to the clients they manage, plus eligibility for our phantom equity plan. This role is where you build toward that.
Track provides the brand, technology, systems, and the team around you. You bring strong technical skills, curiosity, and a real sense of ownership over your work.
This is a full-time hybrid role based in the Minneapolis area.
What You Will DoYou'll work across a portfolio of individual, family, and closely held business clients. Day to day, you'll:
- Prepare (and help review) federal and state income tax returns
- Support tax planning and projections work
- Work directly with clients as a reliable point of contact on their day‑to‑day questions
- Help spot proactive tax‑saving opportunities and explain the complicated parts in plain terms
- Mentor associates and coordinate with our admin team
- Help us keep improving our processes, technology, and client experience
- 3+ years of relevant tax experience, including individual and closely held business work
- Someone who takes ownership of their work and can manage engagements with limited hand‑holding
- Strong tax research and problem‑solving skills
- Clear, confident communication (written and verbal) and a real eye for detail
- Genuine comfort with technology and making processes better
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA or Enrolled Agent, or actively working toward it
- Experience with CCH Axcess and Tax Dome is a plus, but not required
- Medical, dental, vision, and other insurance with company contribution
- 401(k) contribution
- Generous paid time off and company holidays
- Paid parental leave
- Continuing education and professional license reimbursement
- Busy‑season Door Dash allowance
Track is a modern tax and accounting practice and a long‑term financial partner to individuals, families, and closely held businesses. We pair tax compliance and proactive planning with real financial strategy, so our clients can make smarter decisions with their money.
