Build Your Client Portfolio and Share in the Value You Create
Expected total compensation: $110,000 to $165,000+
You get a competitive base salary plus performance-based pay tied to the revenue and profitability of the clients you manage. This isn't a traditional role built around modest raises and discretionary bonuses. At Track, you have real control over your compensation as you grow your client portfolio.
You’ll also be eligible for Track's phantom equity plan, so you share in the long-term value of the firm you're helping build (upside on top of your cash comp, not part of it).
Track provides the brand, technology, systems, and the admin and tax staff to back you up. You bring the technical expertise, client leadership, and ownership mentality.
This is a full-time hybrid role based in the Minneapolis area.
What You Will DoYou’ll be the primary advisor for a portfolio of individuals, families, and closely held businesses. Day to day, you’ll:
- Lead tax planning, projections, and compliance engagements
- Be the main point of contact for your clients
- Review (and when it makes sense, prepare) federal and state income tax returns
- Spot proactive tax‑saving opportunities and explain the complicated parts in plain terms
- Delegate to tax staff and coordinate with our admin team
- Help us keep improving our processes, technology, and client experience
- 5+ years of relevant tax experience, including individual and closely held business work
- Someone who can run their own client relationships and engagements independently
- Strong tax judgment, research, and problem‑solving skills
- Clear, confident communication (written and verbal) and a real eye for detail
- Genuine comfort with technology and making processes better
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA or Enrolled Agent required
- Experience with CCH Axcess and Tax Dome is a plus, but not required
- Medical, dental, vision, and other insurance with company contribution
- 401(k) contribution
- Generous paid time off and company holidays
- Paid parental leave
- Continuing education and professional license reimbursement
- Busy‑season Door Dash allowance
