Overview
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to academic affairs. The Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the work of Academic Affairs by assisting with projects, organizing details, and supporting people well. This role is ideal for someone who is energized by variety, enjoys juggling multiple priorities, and takes initiative to anticipate needs and find answers. The Administrative Assistant partners closely with our Senior Administrative Assistant and the Executive Assistant to provide reliable, high-quality administrative support across a range of academic initiatives.
We are seeking a proactive learner—someone who is naturally organized, comfortable handling confidential information, and eager to grow their skills while contributing to a collaborative, Christ-centered university community.
This is an in-person position located in Arden Hills, MN.
What you ll doAdministrative Duties – 75%
- Provide administrative clerical support and assist the senior administrative assistant and the executive assistant with project and tasks for academic affairs.
- Adhere to proper company record retention guidelines and assure proper record filings.
- Prepare credit card and business expense reports.
- Create request for payments for invoice processing and tracking.
- Assist with event planning logistics.
- Track and order supplies.
- Acts as backup for other administrative assistants.
Department Specific Duties - 25%
- Execute various duties assigned by the senior administrative assistant and executive assistant.
Required
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Experience: 1+ years of experience in customer service, administrative assistance, or other related experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be organized.
- Must be able to handle confidential information.
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suites.
- Must be an effective communicator, verbally and written.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Must be able to execute a project from start to finish.
- Working knowledge of a travel and expense management system, preferred.
- Must be able to work both independently and as a part of a team.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to take direction and execute.
Travel: This position requires no travel.
Work Environment and OtherThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop and/or laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Expected Hours of Work:
Typically, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with the expectation to work specific schedules and hours as identified and communicated by management. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This is a 40 hour per week, 12 months per year position.
