Job title: Senior Electrical R&D Engineer - Active Implantable Medical Devices
Pay Rate: $84/hour
Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Advantage Technical is hiring a Senior Electrical R&D Engineer to support a major name-brand medical device manufacturer at the forefront of active implantable device innovation.
In this role, you will independently contribute to complex R&D and New Product Development (NPD) projects, performing design analysis, verification testing, statistical analysis, and documentation within a regulated quality system. Your work will directly support patient safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance for advanced implantable technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, debug, and test board-level electrical circuits and systems
- Execute design analysis, exploratory testing, and risk analysis
- Develop test protocols, perform automated and manual testing, and generate final evaluation reports
- Track development using tools such as JIRA, Accu Rev, and Windchill
- Support regulatory submissions and collaborate with quality and regulatory teams
- Maintain compliance with Quality System and Quality Policy requirements
- Bachelors in electrical engineering with 5+ years' experience
- Strong background in electrical circuit design, analysis, and testing
- Experience in change management, issue tracking, and regulated environments
- Ability to analyze data, interpret requirements, and develop engineering solutions
- Active implantable medical devices or regulated hardware development
- Automated testing using Python, Perl, or scripting tools
- System development lifecycle and formal design controls
