SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for a manufacturing process that includes equipment, testing, process improvement, and productivity savings. This position will work closely with production and the R&D teams applying the principles of Design for Manufacturing (DFM). This role will have Manufacturing Engineering Technicians as direct reports.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Provide daily work direction to Manufacturing Engineering Technicians.
- Effectively communicate to direct reports on performance, set metrics, and coach.
- Lead a cross‑functional group of engineers from Quality and Operations to execute projects that improve product quality and manufacturing.
- Project‑manage technicians to achieve operational success through continuous improvement projects.
- Generate high‑level plans, communications, and schedules on larger projects requiring prioritization and workload adjustments.
- Work with project teams to develop project budgets, resource allocations, and timelines.
- Ensure product and process quality by implementing methods to validate process capabilities, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes.
- Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Be familiar with process validations and equipment validations.
- Demonstrate foundations of CPC culture to develop, retain talent, and advocate for core values.
- Comply with all Quality policies while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Support the process of ISO, ASI, and other certifications deemed necessary by the business.
- Adhere to all safety regulations.
- Perform other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Manufacturing Engineering Technicians
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline required.
- Minimum of five (5) or more years of engineering work experience required.
- Leadership and coaching experience.
- Experience working with sonic, spin, heat, injection molding, or any processes requiring multiple process settings preferred.
- CREO experience preferred or Solid Works.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Concepts preferred.
- Ability to understand and speak Mandarin as a second language is preferred.
