Responsibilities- Partnering with global suppliers as the technical expert to understand manufacturing processes and maintain consistent product quality and reliability throughout the product lifecycle
- Serving as a technical lead in Global Sourcing category teams to establish and execute category objectives
- Assessing new and existing technologies to support future product development and improve the quality and reliability of current products
- Partnering with suppliers and category team members to investigate supplied material issues and supply constraints
- Collaborating with R&D, manufacturing and process development teams on electrical and mechanical design requirements for new product development
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to execute changes initiated by BSC or suppliers, such as improvement projects, supplier capability, capacity projects, and compliance projects
- Coordinating all phases of supplier engineering work content for projects; communicateemerging issues and action plans with site leadership and stakeholders to gain resources and support
- Identifying and executing material cost reduction projects to meet plant, division, and category goals, while influencing cross-functional support in driving value improvement projects
- Maintaining compliance with the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures to ensure patient safety and product quality
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience supporting complex mechanical or electrical systems
- Ability to travel up 20% globally
- Experience working in medical device or a similar GMP environment
- Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive project deliverables
- Working knowledge of statistical methods, six sigma methodologies, and problem-solving methodologies
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking analytical skills; results-driven
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Organized and detail-oriented; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Self-driven and self-motivated to learn and apply knowledge to produce results
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop internal and external relationships
Minimum Salary: $85,000
Maximum Salary: $161,500
The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see – will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
