The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for identifying, designing, and building advanced analytic solutions across the Dairy Foods business unit. As a key contributor in the Dairy Foods Data & Analytics Product Team, the Sr. Data Scientist will partner closely with business teams and IT colleagues to drive data‑driven decision making. The role translates business requirements into technical analyses and models to drive revenue, decrease costs, and optimize business results.
Responsibilities include identifying data science use cases, conducting exploratory data analysis, and implementing machine learning algorithms and techniques. The Sr. Data Scientist must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable communicating with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Advanced degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of demonstrated skills or experience.
- 5+ years professional experience in designing and developing analytics solutions.
- 3+ years of experience in statistical programming such as Python, R, SAS, SPSS, etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge of statistical and analytic techniques including regression, clustering, and classification.
- Demonstrated ability to translate between business requirements and technical specifications, and to communicate results and findings with non‑technical business partners.
- Experience using traditional and modern platforms including cloud storage and compute technologies.
- Intermediate to Advanced SQL skills.
- Identify key business requirements that drive the design, development, implementation, and delivery of models, quantitative analyses, and other analytical solutions.
- Conceptualize, design, and develop analytical solutions that are stable and scalable to meet business needs using the latest technologies.
- Partner closely with Data Architecture, Data Management, and Data Visualization teams to build optimal analytical solutions that lead to the desired business outcomes.
- Collaborate with and influence multiple stakeholder groups to ensure alignment with standards, guidelines and best practices.
- Provide thought leadership and education to business partners regarding analytic best practices.
- Enable analytic end‑users by onboarding new end‑users to the analytic platforms and providing recurring training workshops, prototype sessions, and office hours.
- Aid in enabling enterprise roll‑out of advanced analytic capabilities.
- Identify, report, and elevate risks to manager and stakeholders appropriately.
- Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of demonstrated skills and experience.
- Experience working with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI.
- CPG and manufacturing industry experience.
- Experience with cloud‑based model training and production.
- Experience with Docker containerization.
- Experience working in a scrum/agile team, utilizing tools such as Azure Devops, Jira, version
1.
The salary range for this role is $105,040 – $157,560.
