This is a critical management role in Active Implantable Systems (AIS) R&D leading a high performing team responsible for the system-level design of active implantable devices serving Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) and Urology divisions.

In AIS R&D, we are dedicated to advancing innovative technologies that improve patient outcomes and quality of life through implantable devices and therapies. As the Senior Manager of Systems Design, you will provide people and technical leadership to a team of engineers and direct the day-to-day work of the implantable systems development function. This team’s primary activities are to help define high valued products for the business, create system requirements and design, and partner with various R&D functions to develop these products.

This role is highly cross-functional both inside and outside of AIS R&D as the Implantable Systems Design team is the primary technical point of contact for the Marketing, Regulatory, Technical Services, Medical Safety, Quality, and Clinicals organizations. Success will require strong technical judgment, a track record of efficiently developing high-quality medical devices across the product lifecycle, and the ability to build trusted relationships with direct reports, cross-functional partners, and senior leaders.

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an on-site work model requiring employees to be in our Arden Hills, Minnesota office at least four days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.
