14305 QA / Lab Technicians , Arden Hills, MN, 12 months Contract
Sigma, Inc. is seeking a QA / Lab Technician to work in a hybrid capacity with our client in Arden Hills, MN.
Schedule :
Monday-Friday 8 AM - 4.30 PM, Temporary role
Entry level position. Candidates with a high school education are acceptable.
Position Summary:Provides general knowledge in the development/evaluation of product (cheese and dairy powders) and analytical testing while providing technical support to Project Leaders by performing routine functions.
Key Responsibilities :- Weigh ups
- Lab Restock and Inventory check
- Lab Cleaning
- Analytical submissions
- Coating on popcorn or other snack bases
- Dry Blending of powders
- Sample request fulfillment
- Team tasting sensory set up
- Freezer inventory/clean-out
- Sifting and logging product from Pilot Plant dryer
- Processing of and shipping out samples of powder
- Pilot Plant assistance during runs
- Skills needed – organization, proactiveness, communication, collaboration
- Ability to lift, carry, and move 50 lb. bags of powder
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Experience using Excel/Word/Outlook helpful
- HS degree or equivalent with 3+ years of practical experience
- 2 or more years of relevant work experience in a lab setting
- Experience using Excel/Word/Outlook helpful
