Our client, a leading organization in the medical device manufacturing industry, is seeking a Tool Maker to join their team. As a Tool Maker, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting the engineering and production teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

$34 - $42/hour

Monday - Friday; 8AM - 4:30PM

What's the Job?
  • Inspect highly complex tools such as molds and dies for damage and wear to assess overall condition.
  • Study specifications including blueprints, sketches, and models to determine materials and fabrication methods.
  • Compute dimensions, plan layout, and determine assembly sequences for manufacturing processes.
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances on new and existing designs to ensure quality standards.
  • Develop specifications for specialty tools and create design sketches or drawings of products.
What's Needed?
  • True molding, mold building, and injection molding experience is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience as a Toolmaker.
  • Understanding of various tool steels and their applications.
  • Experience with small miniature molds and medical-grade resins is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of machine shop practices and troubleshooting mechanical functions.
