Summary:The Manufacturing Manager has ownership of our plant's manufacturing operations, leading a large direct labor workforce, supervisors, and technicians to not only keep the lines moving but also to transform how we work while in clean room environments. The person in this role is an analytical planner who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, makes data-based decisions, plans for capacity, and possesses a passion for coaching teams.
They will optimize safety, quality, delivery, cost and employee engagement on a large scale.
Production Ownership & Execution
- Own end-to-end operation performance for daily production, ensuring all safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are consistently met.
- Oversee shift execution across a large direct labor workforce, maintaining high efficiency, minimizing downtime, and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Serve as the escalation point for daily operational disruptions, making informed decisions to keep production on schedule.
- Optimize and execute data-driven capacity plans that adapt to shifting volume demands and product mix changes. Make recommendations to address capacity constraints when they occur.
- Analyze throughput metrics, takt times, and labor variances to optimize staffing levels, cross-training matrices, and shift schedules.
- Manage labor efficiency metrics including productivity, direct vs indirect hours, and overtime.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement utilizing Lean Manufacturing tools and Six Sigma principles.
- Coach and mentor front-line supervisors and operators on structured problem-solving methodologies rather than only applying quick fixes.
- Lead value-streaming mapping events and kaizen workshops while making recommendations for improved processes and equipment that eliminate waste and optimize process flows.
- Comply with all Quality policies while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Support the process of ISO, ASI, and other certifications deemed necessary by the business.
- Adhere to all safety regulations.

Management Responsibilities
- Build a safety-first, engaged, and accountable shop floor culture across a diverse, multi-shift team.
- Directly manage shift supervisors conducting regular performance evaluations, providing feedback, and building succession pipelines.
- Collaborate with HR to drive strategies for recruitment, onboarding, retention, training, and overall shop-floor experience.
- Attract, train, and develop a world-class team focused on meeting customer expectations.
- Host daily tier board meetings and monthly town halls.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Management, or relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and/or continuous improvement.
- Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience.
- Manufacturing experience in controlled environments preferred.
- Strong skills in production analytics and reporting.
- Have a strong understanding of inventory management, production planning, and scheduling.
- Have a deep understanding and/or education around different flow management techniques, especially within low-volume/high-mix businesses.
- Have a working understanding of quality management systems such as ISO
9001. - Have a working understanding of health and safety best practices.
- Up to 10% domestically and internationally as required.
