Day‑to‑Day Impact:
As a Service Technician, you’ll play a hands‑on role in keeping customer operations running smoothly. You’ll install, inspect, repair, and maintain industrial dock and door equipment in the field while delivering the high level of professionalism and service that defines Rite‑Hite. You’ll manage your own service calls, troubleshoot issues on‑site, and take ownership of delivering the right solution for the customer.
This role offers a mix of independent work and team collaboration, along with hands‑on training and a clear path to grow your technical skills and advance your career.
- Inspect, repair, maintain, and install customer equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the field
- Deliver excellent customer service and build strong relationships
- Complete service calls efficiently and get it done right the first time
- Document work using handheld devices
- Operate equipment including forklifts, welders, torches, and power tools
- Follow job site safety requirements and customer protocols
- Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams
- Support and mentor other technicians as your experience grows
- Travel occasionally for overnight assignments (under 10%)
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic service work
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
- A customer‑first mindset and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Solid communication and organizational skills
- Ability to safely operate a DOT‑compliant service vehicle
- Commitment to safety on every job
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to complete accurate service documentation
- Understanding of field service best practices

The hiring range for this position in USA-MN-Arden Hills is $25.70–$35.30 per hour based on a 40‑hour work week. The number of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus opportunity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of benefits including medical, dental, life, and vision insurance, disability, a 401(k) plan, profit sharing, and PTO/vacation.
