What You'll Do as a Dispatcher:

Coordinate daily delivery routes to maximize fleet efficiency and meet customer commitments

Respond to customer inquiries and resolve logistics-related concerns promptly

Manage yard personnel schedules, labor allocation, time-off requests, and payroll processing

Maintain accurate delivery, inventory transfer, and customer information within DDMS and Bis Track systems

Monitor driver compliance with DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and required certifications

Communicate regularly with sales, operations, drivers, and customers to ensure smooth operations

Support safety initiatives and assist with reporting and investigating workplace incidents

What You Need to Bring to the Dispatcher Role:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Minimum 5 years of customer service experience; building materials or lumber industry experience preferred

Previous leadership or management experience preferred

Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations

Familiarity with the Twin Cities metro area and surrounding communities

Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, DDMS, and/or Bis Track software

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds #metro careers
