Job SummaryOur company is seeking a skilled Mill Machine Operator to join our team. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality paving services and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. As a Cold Mill Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating milling equipment to prepare surfaces for new asphalt, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions- Operate milling machine to mill asphalt surfaces according to project specifications.
- Perform daily safety checks on equipment and report any operational issues to the Foreman.
- Prepare job sites for building, demolition, or excavation.
- Transport tools and construction equipment to and from job sites.
- Operate machinery safely and effectively, following company guidelines and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Vocational school training or apprenticeship in a related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in operating milling machines.
- Paving or heavy/highway construction experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and Class A or B CDL preferred.
- Ability to read building plans related to structural concrete and land grades.
- Excellent mechanical skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Effective communication with supervisors and team members.
