Hospitalist - Daytime

Hospitalist Daytime Rounder position at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, LA. The Hospitalist is responsible for providing comprehensive care to hospitalized patients throughout their hospital stay, including emergency evaluation, triage, admission, differential diagnosis, care planning, and education of the healthcare team.

• Conduct comprehensive examinations and evaluations, and make treatment decisions.
• Provide emergency evaluation and triage, admit patients, and formulate differential diagnosis.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans in accordance with evidence‑based protocols.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, case managers, and ancillary service providers.
• Keep patients informed and provide periodic updates.
• Participate in hospital utilization management, risk management, and performance improvement programs.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years of practice as a Hospitalist preferred.
• Current medical license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
