Breakfast Hostess

Responsible for the preparation, display, and service of breakfast items in compliance with brand standards and the State Department of Health regulations. Ensures cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and safe working conditions in the breakfast room and associated kitchen areas.

• Prepare and display all breakfast items per brand standards and state health regulations.
• Maintain proper food temperatures, coverings, and cleanliness of the breakfast area.
• Monitor guest needs, respond promptly, and greet guests with a smile.
• Assist with guest inquiries about hotel services, local attractions, and activities.
• Restock breakfast items, coffee, and beverage stations between shifts.
• Clean and sanitize all food prep and serving equipment, surfaces, and utensils.
• Remove waste, empty trash containers, and dispose of debris safely.
• Dust, wipe, and maintain all furniture, fixtures, and décor in public areas.
• Work with cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with OSHA and MSDS guidelines.
• Monitor equipment and suggest cost‑effective maintenance practices to management.
• Resolve guest complaints and ensure satisfaction before service ends.
• Report any damage, maintenance problems, or lost and found items to supervisors.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management and work a flexible schedule.

• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Calm under pressure and capable of resolving problems with good judgment.
• Ability to follow directions thoroughly and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of guest and hotel information.

• High school graduate.
• Fluent in English.
• Previous training in guest relations.
• Experience in hospitality or restaurant industry.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.

• Ability to lift 5–25 pounds.
• Capable of reaching 6 inches, 6+ feet, and overhead.
• Ability to stand for 30 minutes to 1 hour during the shift.
• Ability to bend at the waist and maneuver in work areas.
• Capacity to stand for long periods of time.
