Registered Nurse Emergency Department - Nights

Role Overview

The RN provides patient care using the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability and evaluating the effectiveness of care delivered by team members. They coordinate patient care across departments, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and perform duties aligned with organizational standards and values.

• Engage patients and families in care decisions and assess their educational needs.
• Develop and document individualized care plans with clear goals and interventions.
• Conduct patient handoffs utilizing safety tools (e.g., SBAR) and communicate effectively within the care team.
• Participate in process improvement, complete required competencies, and stay updated with unit communications.
• Utilize evidence-based practices, participate in professional development, and uphold policies.
• Delegate tasks appropriately, guide unlicensed staff, and perform patient rounding.
• Interpret diagnostic data, perform patient assessments, and may be required to take call or work alternate shifts.

• Valid RN license and current certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.).
• Education from an accredited nursing program (Associate's, Diploma, or BSN).
• Ability to lift, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks necessary for patient care.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
