Registered Nurse Emergency Department - Nights

Role Overview

Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability for assigned patients.

Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by team members and coordinates patient care across departments.

Maintains patient rights and confidentiality, performs patient rounds, and communicates effectively with the multidisciplinary team.

Participates in process improvement, documentation, and ensures compliance with policies and standards.

Delegates tasks to unlicensed staff, guides care, and collaborates on programs for professional growth.

Performs assessments, interprets diagnostic data, and participates in hospital committees or projects.

Available for call, weekend, or alternate shifts as needed.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's, Diploma, or BSN).
• Valid RN license and current certifications including BLS; additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS) may be required.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform various physical tasks.

• Involves patients and families in care decisions.
• Documents care plans, nursing diagnoses, and goals.
• Communicates effectively within the team and with physicians.
• Utilizes evidence-based practices and participates in ongoing education.
• Responsible for patient safety, data interpretation, and supporting team development.
