Job Description

This position is accountable for assigned stocking, merchandising, rotation, displays, and inventory counts. On occasion assists with permanent point‑of‑sale (POS) materials.

Job Duties
  • Report to Merchandiser Trainer each morning for assignments
  • Inspect vehicle condition (body damage, tires, fluids, safety issues, etc.) prior to leaving daily; any issues should be noted to Merchandiser Trainer, Supervisor or Manager
  • Maintain a working relationship with the owners, managers and employees of all your accounts
  • Visit assigned stores daily to breakdown truck and work back stock to stock displays, shelves, coolers and bunkers with all brands and packages sold by the company
  • Rotate stock per procedures on expiration dating; notify if soon expired stock is found. Use AIS form
  • Where required build displays‑install or distribute promotional materials
  • Assist with cooler resets as directed by Sales Manager
  • Complete stocking sheets daily including store manager initials of time in and time out, # of cases stocked and the # of out of stocks
  • Ensure POS is visible
  • Ensure the products being delivered and that which is already in the account are properly rotated within the cooler, displays and backroom
  • Safely handle all pallets and unsold product to prevent damage
  • Report complaints, problems, out of stocks, low or high stocks, etc.
  • After completing last scheduled stop, contact Merchandiser Trainer for release or reassignment
  • Report all competitors’ activities that will directly affect our distributorship on the sales of product
  • Breakdown orders in a timely fashion and put product away in cooler, backrooms or other storage areas; organize back stock and discard all trash in its place
  • Pick up ad circulars every Monday or Tuesday to see what is on ad
  • Report damages, close date and out‑of‑date product that needs to be picked up
  • Follows company policies & procedures
  • Attend company meetings as requested
  • Adheres to dress code standards governing appearance
  • Observe all traffic laws when you are operating a company vehicle
  • Courtesy on the road is important at all times. Be polite to other drivers, it is a reflection on the image of the company
  • Park your vehicle so you do not interfere with the retailer’s customers
  • Uses company equipment efficiently and economically while adhering to safety rules and precautions
  • Immediately reports equipment repair needs to Merchandiser Trainer and/or work logs
  • Immediately reports auto accidents or personal work injuries to Merchandiser Trainer
  • Works steadily and constantly without jeopardizing the quality of work
  • Performs any other duties as directed by management
  • Have a positive attitude about all of your fellow employees when in discussions with retailers
  • Maintain open and clear communications with all managers and other employees of the company

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • An understanding of alcoholic beverage industry.
  • Ability to work with computer programs associated with the performance of the position.
  • Must be a results‑oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills; uses diplomacy and discretion.
  • Able to work well with all levels of the organization, to organize, prioritize, negotiate, manage, motivate others and solve problems.
  • Ability to multi‑task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines.
  • Highly professional, with ability to interface well with internal and external contacts.
  • Have strong customer service and interpersonal expertise.
  • Decision making, thoroughness and time management a must.
  • Knowledge of geographic areas, familiarity with assigned territory.
  • Possess a valid Texas driver’s license and have an acceptable MVR.
  • Pass background and drug screens.
  • Prior beer industry experience preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
