Sales Representative, Outside Sales
United Ag & Turf is a John Deere Dealership with multiple locations across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and New Mexico. The company serves customers in a variety of industries such as commercial, construction, agricultural, and consumer markets, and strives for exceptional customer experience across all locations and departments including parts, sales, service, and transportation.
PurposeSells new and used agricultural, compact construction, and turf equipment to new and existing customers.
Responsibilities- Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area
- Maintains current product knowledge of features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership
- Monitors competitive activity and product developments, and communicates findings to management in a timely manner
- Maintains all customer information in the assigned territory for sales management
- Follows a defined sales process
- Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events
- Conducts new equipment field demonstrations
- Monitors trends in customers’ business activities and communicates insights to management
- Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
- Attends applicable sales training events and seminars
- Maintains current knowledge of used equipment values and evaluates properly for trading purposes

RequirementsRequired
Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience
- Excellent communication skills
- One‑year prior equipment sales experience
- Knowledge of commercial equipment
- Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
A regularly required use of hands, reach with hand and arms, and communicate verbally or through hearing will be necessary. The employee will frequently be required to sit, walk, climb, balance, and tolerate extreme outdoor conditions, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
