Job Description
We are seeking an Estimator Project Manager to prepare budgetary, conceptual, and competitive bid estimates for commercial construction projects. This role requires maintaining a balance between company profitability and achieving total customer satisfaction. You will provide estimating services, including labor and material quantity take-offs, and perform carpentry and other trade take-offs for self-performed work. Additionally, you will be responsible for pre-construction services and developing a comprehensive understanding of project scope.
ConstructionEstimator Responsibilities
- Prepare budgetary, conceptual, and competitive bid estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Provide estimating services including labor and material quantity take-offs.
- Perform carpentry and trade take-offs for self-performed work.
- Conduct pre-construction services and understand project scope.
- Lead bidding and estimating tasks, presenting estimates to clients.
- Attend pre-bid and de-scope meetings with clients.
- Develop scope basis for bidding and estimating purposes.
- Qualify estimates and bids relative to scope.
- Review Change Orders and negotiate with Owners, Architects, and Subcontractors.
- Develop project logistics and assist with planning and scheduling work.
- Manage workloads according to department deadlines and priorities.
- Build positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, and design professionals.
- Assist in value engineering and constructability analysis.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
- 2-10 years of experience in Commercial Building Construction Market.
- Proficient knowledge of estimating processes and technology.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Time management, organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of estimating software, Microsoft Office, Civil, Bluebeam, and construction documents.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ardmore, PA.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
