About the Company
My client is an established design/build General Contractor specializing in large-scale vertical construction and site development. They are known for high-quality workmanship and a strong safety culture, delivering projects across sectors including sports/entertainment, mission‑critical, healthcare, cold‑storage, etc. They are seeking a Field Engineer experienced with ground‑up construction to join their team.
About the RoleThis role is ideal for someone with at least 2+ years of field experience, who is looking to grow within a dynamic and fast‑paced environment. The Field Engineer will play a key role in coordinating field operations, managing documents, and supporting project controls to ensure a successful project delivery.
- Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in all phases of construction
- Support the coordination and installation of underground utilities (water, sewer, storm systems)
- Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
- Track project progress, schedules, and budgets
- Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with cost tracking and forecasting
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews
- Participate in site visits to monitor work progress, safety compliance, and quality standards
- Assist in resolving field issues and ensuring alignment with project plans and specifications
- Maintain accurate project records and reports

Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in construction, preferably in heavy civil or site development
- Experience with underground utilities (water, sewer, drainage systems) strongly preferred
- Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project sequencing
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, HCSS, Bluebeam)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work both in the field and office environments
