The Early Learning Center Director is responsible for overseeing the early childhood education program and operational management including curriculum development, staff and facilities management, financial management, legal compliance, and long‑range planning.

• Administration: Recruitment and retention of families, touring prospective families, collecting registrations, maintaining rosters and waiting lists, evaluating programs, soliciting feedback, maintaining statistics and licensing reports, ensuring child files compliance, purchasing supplies, maintaining confidentiality of families.
• Supervision: Manage recruitment, hiring, training, supervise staff, coordinate bi‑monthly staff meetings, provide on‑the‑job supervision, prepare annual evaluations for staff.
• Budget: Monitor budgets within established parameters, ensure monthly budget compliance, process voucher invoices, organize non‑PTO preschool fundraisers.
• Planning & Development: Develop and implement all aspects of Early Childhood programs, parent classes, support groups, lectures, play groups, holiday celebrations, enrichment programs, prenatal classes, Jewish family education, room requisitions, school calendar, safeguard health and safety, identify new services, recruit new PTO and Early Childhood Committee members.
• Public Relations: Organize parent‑teacher conferences, be accessible to parents daily, facilitate family involvement, respond to messages and emails, collaborate with marketing to produce materials, communicate policies, develop cooperative ventures with organizations.

• Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or a related field;
  Master's degree in a related field preferred;
  Pennsylvania teaching certification preferred.
• Experience: 3–5 years in an early childhood setting; 2–3 years in supervisory, administrative, or program leadership; experience managing a licensed center; knowledge of DHS licensing regulations; curriculum development; budgeting; enrollment management; staff supervision; experience in a Jewish community, nonprofit, or camp setting (preferred).

• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Windows, including Excel, database management, and record keeping.
• Strong leadership, supervisory, coaching, and staff development skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners.
• Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practice.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Analytical skills for enrollment, staffing, budget, and program data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with child care management software, billing systems, and family communication platforms preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Current or ability to obtain required clearances, background checks, health assessments, CPR/First Aid certification, and mandated reporter training.
