IT Project Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to support critical video platform initiatives within a leading entertainment and media organization. This role will drive execution across multiple high-impact programs and platforms, partnering closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to ensure successful delivery of customer-facing video experiences.
The TPM will play a key role in coordinating complex technical programs, managing dependencies, facilitating planning processes, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders. This is a highly collaborative position requiring strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Program & Delivery Management- Lead and coordinate multiple concurrent technical programs across video platform initiatives.
- Develop and maintain program plans, delivery schedules, and dependency management frameworks.
- Track project milestones, risks, issues, and cross-functional dependencies to ensure successful delivery.
- Drive accountability across teams for committed deliverables and timelines.
- Facilitate critical path planning and execution activities.
- Partner closely with engineering teams, product managers, and senior leadership to align priorities and execution plans.
- Serve as a central point of coordination between technical and business stakeholders.
- Communicate program status, risks, and key decisions to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Support stakeholder engagement and ensure transparency throughout the program lifecycle.
- Actively participate in quarterly planning, intake processes, Scrum of Scrums, roadmap reviews, and program reporting.
- Establish and maintain effective governance and reporting mechanisms.
- Drive process improvements that enhance program execution and delivery efficiency.
- Support portfolio-level planning and prioritization efforts.
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical dependencies and delivery considerations.
- Collaborate with teams responsible for platform architecture, APIs, microservices, deployments, infrastructure, and operational readiness.
- Translate technical concepts into clear business and program communications for non-technical stakeholders.
The TPM will support initiatives across several strategic platforms, including:
Merlin PlatformA metadata platform that powers customer experiences across:
- Television content
- Movies
- Listings and guides
- Music
- Live sports
- Video-on-demand services
A customer-facing video platform responsible for:
- Content delivery
- Video playback experiences
- Purchase and cancellation transactions
- Viewing continuity
- Watch history
- End-to-end video experience management
Support cross-organizational programs and platform modernization efforts, including streaming and device-related initiatives.
Required Qualifications- 7-10 years of professional experience in Technical Program Management, Program Management, or related roles.
- Proven experience managing multiple simultaneous, high-priority technical programs.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience managing complex cross-functional dependencies and stakeholder relationships.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and context-switch effectively.
- Experience working directly with engineering and product organizations.
- Familiarity with:
- APIs
- Microservices architectures
- Cloud and infrastructure environments
- Data centers and deployment processes
- Platform engineering concepts
- Experience with:
- Jira
- Confluence
- Smartsheet
- Exposure to AI-enabled productivity tools for documentation, planning, or stakeholder communications.
- Experience supporting media, entertainment, streaming, metadata, or video platform products.
