Description

Merion Golf Club is currently seeking a Receiver to be responsible for accepting, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments into the Club. This role ensures that all goods received match orders, are in good condition, and are accurately logged into inventory systems. This position will also be responsible to organize and store merchandise, communicate discrepancies, and maintain cleanliness and safety in receiving areas.

Strong attention to detail, computer skills, and the ability to lift and move packages are essential.

This is an exciting growth role within Team Merion’s Clubhouse Department with potential for additional responsibilities over time.

Essential Functions of this position:

Manage and coordinate the receiving process by organizing, distributing and communicating incoming and outgoing packages

Set and organize work area for business

Maintain organized service yard, storage areas, etc.

Receive all deliveries – verify incoming goods against invoices and inspect the condition of contents before accepting delivery

Maintain inventory records

Deliver merchandise to appropriate departments in a timely manner

Secure the receiving area and its contents, ensuring safekeeping of Club property and all inventories

Interact with department management to ensure implementation of receiving practices meet standards

Identify opportunities to continuously improve purchasing and receiving process

Responsible for paper goods & cleaning supplies ordering

Always treat fellow employees professionally

Be respectful to all members & guests.

Perform other tasks and duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

Consistent attendant to detail.

Strong computer skills required:
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and remain flexible and responsive.

Detail oriented with the ability to exercise good time management skills.
