American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step-Down/PCU position at a Level II teaching hospital, requiring ACLS and NIH certifications with vasoactive drip experience.
Requirements- Active PA or compact RN license currently in hand — pending licensure is not accepted
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Step-down or PCU experience required
- Proficiency with vasoactive drip management (insulin, nicardipine, dexmedetomidine, nitroglycerin)
- Step-down/PCU unit in a 370-bed acute care, Level II teaching hospital
- Patient ratio of 1:3‑4
- Experience with vasoactive and specialty drips required, including insulin, nicardipine, dexmedetomidine, and nitroglycerin
- Rotating shift with both day (7:00–19:00) and night (19:00–7:30) coverage on 3x12-hour shifts
- Every third weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within scope to like units required to meet facility needs
- Charting performed in Epic
- Scrub color is navy blue
- Time‑off requests are subject to manager's discretion
- Candidates who have previously worked at any Main Line Health location should disclose the location(s) and dates of prior employment when being considered for this role
